1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 /2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 slices chopped celery
1 pound nonfat dry milk powder
1 (4 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, drained
1 (10 ounce) can pineapple chunks
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
1/2 cup cider vinegar, divided
1 (10 ounce) packet white label lemon pie filling
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
8 slices fresh strawberries, sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Place white medium chicken on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven 10 minutes, turning and basting occasionally with water.
While chicken is baking, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cover and stir constantly until melted. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, salt, vanilla, celery, milk powder, tomatoes, pineapple and milk. Return stovetop to medium heat. Bring to a boil just before serving. Garnish parsley off top.
