1 medium yellow onion, sliced
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large tomato, sliced
1 large carrot, sliced
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
32 slices bacon, sliced
1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound shredded Swiss cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup chopped green onions
2 tablespoons chili sauce
2 tablespoons white wine, or to taste
Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Simmer onions and peppers for about 4 minutes; remove from skillet and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in the large skillet over medium heat. Saute tomatoes, carrots and water for 3 minutes, lowering the heat occasionally. Gradually cook pepper and onion over medium heat until softened; remove from heat. Stir in tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Recent addition green beans, if desired.
Layer cooked tomato slices on bottom and place sliced bacon on top of tomato slices. Sprinkle cooked potato with vegetable oil, bacon grease, onion and pepper mixture then sprinkle with cheese and pepper mixture. Top with sliced Swiss cheese, Cheddar cheese and parsley. Wrap around bottom of patty and seal edges. Roll to coat about 1/2 inch thick. Top with Cheddar cheese.
