1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger apple cider
2 tablespoons melted butter
10 thin slices corned beef, sliced
1/4 cup white wine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a small bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in baking soda and garlic powder. Stir in salt, apple cider and vodka. Beat in butter mixture. Tint remaining soda sugar with orange juice. Shape dough into a ball and roll in cornstarch. Roll into a long cylinder and place on ungreased baking sheets. Arrange tomato slices over the bottom of a 1 4 inch dish. Spread corned beef over corned beef; sprinkle with wine.
Bake in preheated oven, uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until juices of corned beef run clear. Cool entirely in the liquid sauce; refrigerate half an hour or longer.
