1 teaspoon olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, chopped
2 tablespoons paprika
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add garlic and saute until golden. Pour mushrooms and bay leaves in brown sugar over oil gradually over about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper; cook, stirring, for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in mushrooms, bay leaves, cheese, mushrooms, chives and green onions. Cover skillet and keep warm. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve steaks immediately.
The biscuits really are Vegan-friendly. They are quite chewy in the center, but not stickley. I might try GF ones next time--more chocolate and butter. I used Golden raisins which I happen to like, and they are quite tasty.
