1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 (12 ounce) package buckwheat flour
1 cup milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons white sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the butter mixture. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
