1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped dates
8 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons sherry
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, soda and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and thick. Remove from heat and stir in 3/4 cup of the orange sugar. Whisk in milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in pecans, date crystals, sliced pecans and chopped pecans. Mix in chopped pecans, dates and crushed fruit. Spread into pie crust.
In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, orange juice and sherry. Distribute mixture over pie. Garnish well with buttered chocolate chips. Chill until serving.
