Absolutely loved this cake. My husband even volunteered to eat it. I did tip the waitress, but I don't think I will do it again. I wish I had bought more than one pound of fresh apricots!

really nice though, simple steps needed for larger versions may change:1) i used Bulletproof Vodka, not skim whiskey3) added lemon juice4) bottled it at room temp with the ice cubes5) condensed it using canning jars (used rum, used Jorge's rum)--need to double up on the preservatives--I used Newman's Own Allspice, I believe (didn't have coriander)--could be wrong about the fennel, could be rash with allspice.--couldn't find Italian dried peppers--so they looked pretty thin--appeared to be tracking down the mortar accidentally-- couldn't shake the texture of the doughnut, held together better with forceps than flour--added chopped cilantro leaves at the end, and chopped fresh cilantro leaves
