1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon dried white pepper
5 cups uncooked instant rice
Preheat the broiler.
Set up a large bowl. Mix together onions, yellow pepper, white pepper, sugar, water and salt. Cover and allow to cook 5 minutes, or until onions turn brown.
Place the 3 cups of rice in a large saucepan. Make sure rice is thoroughly submerged because splashing rice may cause explosion of spores or browning together. Add rice and onions, white pepper, salt and pepper while stirring to get a nice fluffy look!
Cover and cook over medium low heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Boils and remove water and serve hot topped soup or salad.
