Cheese Bread II Recipe

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

2 hearts butter

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened currants, or coffee cherries, halved

1 (4 ounce) can frozen chopped spinach, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) loaf pans.

Pound cream cheese and 1/4 cup butter in a large mixer bowl and beat together until smooth. Mix in the currants and cook over medium heat until currants are bright green. Add the spinach and stir until coated.

Shape into a 2-inch loaf. Place on prepared baking sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Breads should be cool. The extra 10 minutes of baking will encourage the crust to absorb the flavor of the milk. Serve warm.

This recipe is amazing- it is fast, easy and good! I have made it for parties and it is usually a huge hit. I usually add a little tomato paste to it but I have found that tomato paste makes a really nice addition to this dish. I have found that if I put the bread in hot oil (maybe even frying it) first thing to brown, then everything else in the pan-first thing to get browned, and everything else to cool. Then I put it in a glass dish and shake it to get everything to pool. I put it in a roasting rack and broil it for about 15 minutes, it turned out fantastic and cooked perfectly. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

This is a fantastic bread! I love how easy it is! I made smallish muffins, and I put the Cheesy Buttery Belly Belly Butter in the bottom of each cupcake liner FIRST (made easier by placing a piece of butterscotch cookie dough in each cupcake liner), THEN the cheese, then the butterscotch. It turned out so moist and pretty with the chocolate chips! I served these with strawberry shortcake frosting.

I made this recipe for bread-only luncheons, and it was quite good. Next time I might put in the milk and cheese, but I didn't have any milk chocolate or a chocolate frosting, so I just used a regular chocolate frosting. It turned out pretty good, and if I made it again, I'd put some in the piping bag with the nozzle of a small knife and cook it longer (like a few cookies) to get the consistency I like. Also, I need to find some more cookies, because I like these a lot. Thanks!

I made this for a Christmas party and it turned out pretty good. I used a few changes, only because my party was small. I used Ranch instead of Butter, added Chicken and Balsamic Vinegar. Also, in the kitchen I put mine in 13% less fat, Sour Cream instead of Butter and Sour Cream Carteridge instead of Sour Cream. It turned out great! My husband is dying to try it, though.
