1 pound ground beef
1 (16 ounce) container Italian-style salad dressing
1 onion, finely chopped
1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
2 eggs, beaten
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (100 degrees C).
Melt the vegetable bacon in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute until evenly brown; set aside. Drain excess grease, and pour salad dressing over meat. Saute until evenly brown, 20 to 30 minutes.
Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch oven-safe dish. Spread melted cheese over meat, and top with heated tomato sauce and black pepper to taste.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes; turn halfway through; bake an additional 15 minutes.
