1 cup long-grain white rice
1 cup cream cheese
1/3 cup diced sage
1/3 cup chopped bacon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and add salt and wine. Stir and cook until rice is just barely cooked and cream cheese melts. Drain excess grease, reserving 1/3 cup in a large glass dish.
In a 3 quart 9 inch casserole dish combine rice, cream cheese, sage, and bacon; spread over pan. Sprinkle top with sauce and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
I was so excited to make this and was expecting so much more. Non of my guest liked it and they all tried it. To bland, the texture was off.Mostly my guest said it was just to bland they like the apple and the idea but it needed a lot more flavor.
