1 pound pretzels, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup milk
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined and ribs trimmed
1 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper to taste
Combine pretzels and salt and chili powder in shallow water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the water boils off. Lower the heat and cook the sauce for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat milk in a large saucepan to boiling. Dip pretzels in the milk, then coat to soften. In a small skillet under the heat, saute paprika and season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were amazing. My husband stopped at nothing to try and eat them. They were messy but well worth it.
