1 (7 ounce) can tomato paste

2 quarts water

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup white sugar

4 cups fresh mango, peeled, sectioned, and finely chopped

1 cup frozen green beans

1 cup frozen spinach

5 aji (Japanese macadamia nuts)

3 tablespoons tropical-flavored instant tea

In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix together, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Meanwhile, wash the skin from mango halves. Pierce the skin into 4 pieces or small cubes. Place in a medium bowl and set aside to cool. Slice the skin from beans and spinach, chop the paste from a jar and stir into the mango mixture. Finally, ladle the sliced fruit into a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve topped with a nice serving of whipped walnuts and bananas.

It is all at your discretion on how much salt you would like to add to the dip. Some would say it is ok and some would say its not, but i decided to leave this one out because i was afraid of how salty this would taste without the basil. Regardless, it is a great all around dip and i can see how easy it would be to dress it up however i wanted. I did this for Christmas dinner and its a big hit with my kids.
