1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (7 ounce) can tomato paste
2 quarts water
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup white sugar
4 cups fresh mango, peeled, sectioned, and finely chopped
1 cup frozen green beans
1 cup frozen spinach
5 aji (Japanese macadamia nuts)
3 tablespoons tropical-flavored instant tea
In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix together, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, wash the skin from mango halves. Pierce the skin into 4 pieces or small cubes. Place in a medium bowl and set aside to cool. Slice the skin from beans and spinach, chop the paste from a jar and stir into the mango mixture. Finally, ladle the sliced fruit into a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve topped with a nice serving of whipped walnuts and bananas.
