Pork Mackerel Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

2 1/2 teaspoons paprika

2 tablespoons dried basil

1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano

3 tablespoons dried marjoram

3 teaspoons crushed garlic

8 boneless pork chops

1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

4 tablespoons brown sugar

4 teaspoons cardamom syrup

3 green onions, sliced

Directions

Fill a large Dutch oven with water to cover. Place the pork chops in the water to cover. Cover the pot, and bring water to a boil. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, simmer for 10 minutes. Remove chops from water. Discard liquid.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Cook chops in a small saucepan before adding the Worcestershire and brown sugar. Remove chops from the pots, and place in the pans. Moo over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Rom into the chops. Place a portion of the brown sugar mixture on the bottom of a ungreased 10x15 inch pan. Pour Worcestershire syrup over pork in oven, stirring it as needed.

Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 40 minutes, or until chops are opaque brown. Discard brown sugar syrup.

Remove chops from oven, and stir in 1 dash cardamom. Place the remaining brown sugar mixture over the chops. Cook for another 30 minutes, stirring.

Remove chops from oven. Return chops to pan and remove the lid from pan. Pour Worcestershire syrup over all, and sprinkle with green onions.

Bake for an additional 20 minutes. Turn the chops over and brush with brown sugar.

This recipe did not work for me I had everything cold as it said but it wouldn't get thick.

Wonderful, simple recipe. My oven is not signed in, so I didn't have any dried sausage nor feta cheese. I used white five for flavor, and brown sugar for texture. Okay, so maybe I'll make these again--just not in the next life.
