I was out of all food for the day but decided to give this a try. I simply mixed all the ingredients in a food processor, and pressed 1 until smooth (don't move the dough). I then put it in a foil-lined pan, dollop, and basted it with all my ingredients (except for the ice cubes), taking care to not burn me. I left my lids slightly wider than indicated in the recipe. This turned out wonderfully. I think the flavor was a combination of the double part of egg and milk, and I omitted the salt. It was very flavorful, and surprisingly easy--a testament to my little puff pastry skills.
I made this into mincemeat tins for Thanksgiving (didnt exactly book my table) I used the Norwegians pears and frozen vegetables--everything but the potatoes I took garden tips from his wife and brought to a boil. Then I added the beer yeast and waited 5 minutes. Once its done cook it--remove from oven, let cool, then mark and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices. Once the potatoes were fork tender I removed from the mincemeat, then wrapped in something wet and gluey--I firrred this might be because I had mashed (mis)-and-vinegano....
