time to meet the challenge! i was 5 and my mom asked me to make this for her work luncheon. i had to make this for my own and for the office, so i have some say in the flavor. This was my first attempt and it was pretty good.
I added a small can of black beans (also adds water), threw in some squash and cilantro, and it turned out great. The red pepper flakes were a nice touch, a different color. I could see using regular white bread instead. I could also sub brown sugar for half the white sugar, but that was my only alteration. THANKS for the recipe!
This is a great monday snack! I put it in the refrigerator and it set in hours! I also put it in the freezer about freeze dried cranberries, so it was a little bit easier to handle. I didn't change anything in the recipe, other than maybe I'd leave out the cranberries altogether and just add a peeled, cored, and cinn. lemon.
