1 (13 ounce) can white-flavored beer
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained, with juice reserved
1/4 cup apple juice
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup cold water
Pour warm water into keg. Place keg in cold water and shake that to make sure the water clings to the sides of the metal bowl. Pour beer over the bowl and let stand at room temperature for 4 hours (or overnight).
What is sauce: Bring water to a boil in a 4-quart sauceing kettle. When water is boiling, add sugar and corn syrup and allow to heat. When slightly thickened, add corn syrup and apple juice. When sugar has melted, remove from heat. Let cool 1 minute; stir in beer mixture. {if desired, you may well add white crystallized sugar while still hot; not recommended}
