Chicken in a Pot in the Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/8 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 (2 ounce) can chicken broth

1 cup grape juice

1 (2 ounce) container sour cream

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Stir the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar together in a small bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of the center of a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread the grape juice over the dish. Cover with shredded cheese and spread evenly on top. Sprinkle almonds over the top.

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Serve with the grape sauce and sour cream while still warm.

This was pretty good, but I felt like I had to play devil's advocate. I mean, what good is a bag of chips if its wrapper can't hold its flavor? And how can you go wrong when you have Kellogg's choices of cereals, right?

I made this and found it to be wonderful. I usually use eggs or chicken in place of the egg, but found this one a little bland. So I used 2 eggs instead of the egg and 1/2 banana to egg ratio. I had to make some adjustments, but it still worked great. I only used 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, and 5 minihearts instead of 2 tablespoons. There were no changes, and it turned out perfect. My kids and husband loved it!

I too, tasted, warmed, and saluted the chicken but my family thought the meat was not quite hot (we are used to that) and adjusted it according to their preferences; I think the breast between fattiness would yield a more delicious meat to cook--perhaps a pork chop or two. Our family did enjoy it and will likely make this at home, perhaps next time I would round up my grocery list to include everything.

Good chicken breast sandwich recipe I will put in the drippings from crockpot first and then put the breast through it's paces in a grill pan. Since it is a sandwich it needs to be moist so next time I'll try broiling it first on a cookie sheet. The cheese at the center of the sandwich is perfect texture and gives the impression of being well-oiled. Anywho, a simple drizzle of cayenne gives it a tasty kick. Next time I think I'll put chicken in a different dish and maybe add lettuce.
