Messy Burgundy Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and flour. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the flour mixture just until incorporated. Beat in the whipping cream until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 75 to 80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
