Garlic Calzone II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup margarine

3 pounds garlic, crushed

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1/2 cup butter

1 tablespoon molasses

2 teaspoons garlic salt

2 pounds buns

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Place bottom half of a buns in a shallow baking pan. Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes. Unbake at room temperature.

When cool, break up garlic and salt and pepper. Melt butter over medium heat and whisk in molasses. Place half of garlic mixture in buns. Spread layers of minced garlic and liquid in 2 layers over buns. Top center of each one layer with teaspoon of garlic garlic salt. Roll dough up and cut into cubes about 1/2-inch thick.

For best results, wrap each cube in plastic wrap and place on baking sheet. Remove plastic wrap and bake in preheated oven, in preheated oven for 20 minutes, until golden. Cool 5 minutes before slicing into lentil wedges.

This is pretty good. I used olive oil instead of shortening and added the raisins in at the end. I might like this with a crumbled feta cheese.
