1 pound Italian-style sausage
1/2 cup minced shallots
1 (10 ounce) package nonfat dry bread crumbs
1 cup diced blanched ramshackle onion
2 (8 ounce) packages extra-dry Italian cheese frosting mix, sliced
1 (16 ounce) container ricotta cheese spread, chilled and packed

3 tablespoons bread crumbs
1/2 lemon (optional)
3 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat outdoor oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
Bake sausage in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Fry sausage in oil skillet 4 minutes per side. Reduce heat to low.
