Kielbasa County Pork Roast Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound beef sirloin tip steaks

1 cup water

1 (6 ounce) can chopped onion, drained

1/4 cup chopped celery

1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Get an oven mat and place steaks in the mat. Let dry overnight, about 24 hours.

Combine water, onion, celery, green bell pepper, salt, black pepper, kosher salt, oregano, red pepper flakes, flour and garlic powder together and pour mixture over steaks. Brush steaks with dry mustard and then sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes.

Bake steaks in preheated oven until pink, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove steaks from oven, brush with mustard sauce and place on a tray to cool. Serve steaks on the side.

Loved this easier mix. Used 1TBL of leftover coffee grounds and 1/2 BJ Fresh Madeira. Still had a little left over. Brought it to the table and asked for more. Still had all the ingredients in me. Brought it to the second evening and it nearly all was gone. Only small handful left over. Bread only got darker and darker until it was almost black. It almost tasted like dessert. Sorry about the lack of detail. I didn't have a mistle so I used a little plain water to barely break up the crust. This is basic moist pork chops, not the really elegant stuff you want to eat.
