Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients

6 (3 ounce) squares unsalted butter, softened

3 cups apples - peeled, cored and sliced

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 cups white sugar

3/4 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons butter

2 teaspoons chopped pecans

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking soda

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Line a 9 inch springform pan with large baking sheets.

Beat butter and apples in small mixing bowl until fluffy. Beat in cinnamon and sugar until well combined. Beat in corn syrup and vanilla until thickened.

Add butter/apple mixture and mix until dough pulls together. Fold in pecans. Spread evenly into pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Roll out pie and refrigerate for 2 hours. Chill in refrigerator.
