Don't Stir Up the Crust! Recipe

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup chopped onions

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Melt the cream cheese and sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in the flour to form a smooth dough. Roll the dough into small rounds and roll in the onion bits to get a nice texture. Place the rounds in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn off oven.

While the crust is baking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the confectioners' sugar, egg, and flour. Spread the mixture evenly over the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, or just until bubbly. Remove from oven.

Remove the cream cheese mixture from the baking dish. Spread white bread into the chilled crust. Bake for 1 minute, or to desired bake time.

Remove the crust from the oven and spoon cream cheese mixture over it. Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the crust is golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with the sliced onion pieces and serve immediately.
