very good and easy. after making some alterations, such as using white vinegar instead of water, and adding garlic powder when mixing with flour, this is really good. only thing is, i sprinkled the top with coarse sugar before covering and letting it rise until it was slightly thicker. but it is perfect! so frosty and delicious.

I made this with a rather bland batter (basically because I didn't have any) and it turned out very well. Unfortunately I didn't have any dried daikon, so I resorted to eating the daikon raw, which was what I did have. This is a pretty good recipe for tender daikon, and I would definitely make it again. I used half of a large yellow bell pepper, peeled and roughly chopped. I also added a bit of garlic powder, and red cracked black pepper. These were saved for last because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat them all by myself (I had to share something special for lunch). Overall this was pretty easy and pretty good.
