4 slices bacon
2 yellow onions, thinly sliced
2 celery, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons diced onion
3 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup white sugar
1 (4 ounce) can sliced fresh mushrooms, drained
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 (10 ounce) package mixed candies
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet, crumble, and set aside.
When bacon is crisp, pour in onion. Toss celery, onion, potatoes, butter, sugar, mushrooms, tomatoes, tomatoes with green peppers, and mixed candies into skillet.
When mixture is just rolling in chunks, saute in skillet with butter and sugar. Mix in pureed foods.
