Chocolate Corn Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 8x8 inch pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Beat in the brown sugar, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in the flour mixture until just moist. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before filling.
