1 (4 ounce) package Chinese shaped roll dough
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried chili pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Remove parchment paper from the top of the dumplings and place them in the bottom of a 9 inch cake pan.
Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 20 minutes. Remove plastic wrap from dumplings and place over hot coals for 30 seconds. Remove and sprinkle with egg whites and salt and pepper.
