1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
2 cloves garlic
1 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 (1 ounce) packages cream cheese
Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic. Saute for 25 seconds. Stir in mushrooms and vinegar.
Meanwhile, heat 1/2 cup water in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Spoon 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese over mushrooms and cream cheese.
Return mushrooms, onions and garlic mixture to skillet and stir to coat evenly.
