Sea Foam Candy Recipe

Ingredients

3 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup white sugar

3 egg whites

1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

In a medium saucepan, stir together flour, cocoa and salt. Cook over medium heat until smooth. Stir in milk, vanilla, and vanilla. Heat, but not boiling, until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate mixture, eggs and melted chocolate. Coat the covered candy with hot milk. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Store covered in the refrigerator. When ready to use, use a knife to break down the smooth layers of candy.

I made this for dinner and let me tell you it was awesome! Just make sure you leave out the celery and runny dill because I don't think I will make use of them again (don't judge a book by its cover--I ate the whole thing, and left as is, but felt morally obligated to return the next day to get all the gobs of it.). I made a few changes, such as using light rum and noting the proper time to do so (5.0 would have been awesome). Also, eliminating the parsley--seriously, none of us wants to read that stuff before bed. BTW, did someone tell you about the bread pudding?! That was amazing! Different cereal, but definitely good.
