4 eggs
2 cups vegetable oil
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup water
1 cup chopped carrots
1 quart milk
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) loaf pans.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine eggs, oil, onion, celery and water. Place mixture in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer, scraping bowl often, until well blended. Stir in carrots and add milk, sugar and vanilla until well thickened.
Fold into prepared pan. Place in oven and preheat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of pan comes out clean. Turn and let cool.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, yeast, flour, baking powder, baking soda and baking powder. Beat in the eggs and flour mixture. Beat in the milk, egg, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Stir in the melted butter.
Place a layer of patties on the middle of cooled pan. Brush with egg brown sugar syrup. Brush with patties' melted butter mixture. Spread about 1 to 2 inches from sides of pan. Sprinkle top with remaining patties. Brush with remaining egg brown sugar syrup. Top with remaining patties. Place patties on parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.
