2 quarts paring saffron
1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup white sugar
3 cups butter
3 teaspoons lemon zest
2 tablespoons brandy
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) can white sugar-flavored gelatin
In a blender, combine paring saffron and orange juice. Pour mixture over top of pineapple slices, then drizzle with butter and lemon zest. Beat in sugar and 3 cups of margarine. Spread on entire pineapple. Chill 1 hour before serving.
In a saucepan, combine lemon-lime soda and 2 cups lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage. Stir until mixture coats the back, sides and edges of glass. Stir in pineapple and fruit. Cover and chill 1 hour before serving.
Stir gelatin into whipped cream. Serve with whipped cream, or ice and coffee cups.
