Chocolate Chip Fudge Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 cup boiling milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine over medium-low heat. Remove from heat and mix in flour, milk, brown sugar, salt and nutmeg. Stirring constantly, dissolve lemon juice and water in boiling milk until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool before cutting into squares; frost with lemon frosting or chocolate glaze. Refrigerate frozen pieces. Steal fudge often; store in an airtight container. Cut into squares and serve in bars or candy containers.

I made this without the vinegar, but it was still pretty good. sort of crumbly but bland. I would make it again.
