1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and oil until smooth. Beat in the vanilla, eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour and sugar. Stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in pecans.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the oven for 300 to 315 minutes. Cool completely before frosting the inside of pans.
