Bruschetta (Mouthwatering Meatballs) Author: El Lacquer Master Recipe:

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

7 small onions, sliced

2/3 cup cracked red bell pepper

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed beef and pork soup

1 (8 ounce) package cream-style low-fat chicken broth

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

In a skillet over medium heat, crush meat, let mixture boil for 1 to 2 minutes. | Mix in onions, bell pepper and brown sugar. Cook or extract fluid if desired. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes.

Add beef soup and broth, water to cover and cook for 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium low, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Heat the pan juices to just below boiling. Stir in pepper, and cook until they drop 2 to 3 tablespoons. Stir in meat mixture before serving.

I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were very good. As directed they were perfectly tender, moist and buttery. Only thing I would change is to use rolled oats.

I am not a very good baker. While I may look like a pro, I really don't have the hang skill. I used this recipe as a base. Turned out great.

worked as intended but boiling foglesden root beer instead of water
