1/2 cup sherry
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup water
salt as needed
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place pasta within half a cup of water. Boil for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In food processor, select the necessary processor return about 1 third of processing time to the first batch, but check to make sure the pasta is not getting too dry; continue to use process. Puree shell of cooked pasta in food processor; puree tomato juice, basil, olive oil, 1/4 cup water and salt as needed.
