1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and shortening. Stir in sugar and eggs. Let dough cool. Divide dough into two even portions. Roll each portion in the flour mixture, leaving about 1/8 inch of excess on aluminum uncut. Pat the fully combined dough evenly into a loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Brush parchment paper with warm water and grease two 9x12-inch baking pans. I recommend having the parchment paper larger on the sides of the skillet, so that the sauce can drip down onto the bottom.
Bake 22 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Carefully remove parchment paper from skillet and set aside to cool on wire racks.
