4 teaspoons tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon hot water
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup water, divided
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/2 cup sour cream
In a medium bowl, combine tartar, salt, ginger, red mustard and vinegar. Base mixture in a small saucepan and heat over low heat. Fry 1 minute, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup water and 1 cup wine vinegar. Stir, and set aside.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon butter and saute 1 pound leaf lettuce and tomato, then add remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Slowly bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
The wrap didn't quite look right, especially from the outside looking in. But worse, the salsa was missing something! I was so excited to make this and couldn't wait to try it until I got home. WORTH waiting...
