1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon water
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups confectioners' sugar
4/5 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C.)
Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup butter and water. Stir in eggs and milk. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla extract, increase speed to medium speed and beat until blended. Stir in confectioners' sugar and add milk.
Pour half of batter into a large glass or metal bowl. Pour milk/vanilla mixture over the batter, then add egg/vanilla mixture and remaining batter. Sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar and give top of bowl a little bit of honey. Pour an additional half of batter, just enough, over the top of dough, to cover the entire top of dough.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
