Fruit and Nuts Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups semisweet chocolate, chopped

1 cup chopped pecans

2 cups boiling water

1 cup white sugar

1 egg white, lightly beaten

Directions

Melt chocolate over a double boiler. Boil for 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted. Stir in pecans and sugar.

Spread melted chocolate mixture all over cookie sheet. Place over double-baked baking sheet. Chill until set. Spread over set baking sheet. Let stand 8 hours, until firm.

I originally shared this with you all as a Monday Night Free Dinner. It is absolutely delicious!!! If you're looking for a sweet dish to accompany a hearty stew, this is it! The garnishes are neat but not essential. I took this to a winter tasting and loved it. Give it 4 stars because it's a lovely dish but especially good with the Perch & Flounder filets. The texture is fantastic! I took this to a dinner and all the guests raved about it. So simple too.
