Toccata

Ingredients

1 cup flaked coconut

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup white sugar

1 (12 ounce) package taffy-making balls

1/2 cup butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a medium saucepan, mix together coconut, powdered sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue to heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or to desired desired consistency. Remove from heat, stir in taffy and butter.

Roll the dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until golden, around 8 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

This recipe was very good but I would have given it 3 stars more. The sauce was thin and I could have used more hot sauce. I would have given it 4 stars, but I had to doctor it slightly. the onions were tender but said bean to butter. Ill make this time and time again.
