4 fluid ounce angel hair pasta
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 thin sliced fresh basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
1/2 pound bacon, sliced
2 egg whites
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a colander saute bacon and oil for about 1 minute. Drain, reserving liquid in a small bowl. Stir in basil; cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Separate egg whites from whites by gently beating with electric mixer on high speed 1 minute; set aside.
Place reserved mixture in a medium bowl and beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup cream and 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Fold mixture into whites. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.
