Okra with Potato and Bell Pepper Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound potatoes, peeled

1/3 cup olive oil

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup salt

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon salt

1 (20 ounce) can tomato paste

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup white wine

1/2 cup dry white wine

1/4 cup cold water

1 tablespoon chili powder

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, combine potatoes, olive oil, ground beef, onion, salt, sugar, salt and tomato paste. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Stir in milk and wine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 30 to 45 minutes.

Remove from heat. Stir in cold water and chili powder. Stir in hot water until mixture thickens and thickens, then add tomato paste and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in hot water and chili powder. Add cold water if mixture appears too thick.

Return mixture to heat and cook 5 to 10 minutes more, or until meat is cooked through and onion is tender. Whisk in wine. Stir in mashed cooked potato and cooked potato mixture.
