4 1/2 cups double boiler water (9-1/2 fluid ounce)
3 1/2 teaspoons skim milk powder
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) Cool to room temperature.
In a medium water bath, combine boiled milk powder, cereal, skim milk and egg. Beat well, then pour into prepared 8x8 inch emulsion mold set in refrigerator and chill 3 hours, or overnight, before serving.
This is a must try! I used small sweet potatoes and rehydrated them with granules in the morning (after soaking in warm water bath). I let mine finish cooking in the oven and then lifted the skins off for a photo op. They came out of the oven just as my husband predicted and had a delightful cream cheese butter flavor! I served these with Swedish coffee cake and whipped cream.
I adapted this recipe to 7 minute oats instead of 3 minutes. I also used the optional dry italian dressing. Turned out great.
