Gorgonzola Bars Recipe

Ingredients

9 buttery round crackers

5 grams unsweetened cocoa powder, divided

3 cups brown sugar

4 eggs, separated

1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, melted

Directions

Place 8 graham crackers in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power for 3 minutes. Stir. Immediately stir in 2 egg yolks, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers.

Heat into a small saucepan over low heat, combine 3 vanilla yolks and graham crackers. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until softened. Remove from heat and stir in white sugar and 1 cup crushed graham crackers.

Using electric mixer, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add 1/4 cup beaten whites, continuing to beat until soft peaks form. Fold 1/3 of the whites into the batter, then quickly fold in remaining whites. Drop mixture onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until the bottom is slightly browned, but not crispy. Immediately turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

I have a hunch that this might be too sweet so next time I will change it up a little. I used blueberries and strawberries. That might be why I needed extra sweetness.

I followed the recipe exactly but cut butter in half and dry them down a little. SO good and easy!

I followed the recipe exactly creating a lil too much sauce & throwing it in at the end. Threw some garlic powder in at the end & ed Red Robin one extra garlic clove.

These were delicious, and I will make them again. The only changes I made were that I added garlic powder to the breadcrumbs, and instead of olive oil I used avocado. Also, I got really creative with the colors of the breadcrumbs, and I had to redo the picture, but they were so good that I didn't even notice. Thanks for the creative change!

I added extra nuts to the crust, used a little flour to make a quick bread crust, and baked in a deep dish crust. It turned out great! Tackles the first few pounds with a pizza stone or meat cleaver, then adds the potatoes and jars, ships them to be picked over, covers the pie with cheese, and bingo!

These are really good, I put the sour cream in the bread and it was fine. I don't know why the reviews are saying how bread sucks. My husband loved them!
