3 tablespoons margarine, softened
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - skinned and sliced into 1/2 inch cubes
1 pound turkey sausage
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium-size mixing bowl combine the margarine, ginger, salt and 1 cup of butter. Beat in the chicken and chopped pork sections.
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the top with onion, chopped pecans and a generous amount of the reserved butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
When the skin is lightly browned (and not completely cooked off), stir in the turkey mixture and cornstarch.
In a small bowl or colander, sprinkle the parsley over the baked mixture and the leftover bread cubes. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Line the bottom of a baking sheet with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and bake an additional 15 minutes.
