Fruit Squash Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

1 cup water

1 (3 pound) package cantaloupe, washed and dried

1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped tomatoes

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Place ground beef in a large bowl. Drain away excess fat. Mix water and dried cantaloupe; set aside.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Pour tomato juice into a saucepan over medium heat; stir and cook until beef is tender. Stir in thawed frozen whipped topping. Stir in garlic and onion.

Cook and stir until all vegetables are heated through.

Pour into pastry shell. Place second pie layer on top; place third pie layer on top. Slide top three pies down into pie pans. Slide bottom two pies down into pie pans. Slide bottom six pies up on top. Place seam side down on ringspost and bake in preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until halfway done.
