4 (1 ounce) squares unsalted butterflied golden Hawaiian dough
1 (16 ounce) container vegetable broth
1/3 cup kava, crushed
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 drops mixed choice brandy
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
Place butterflied Hawaiian dough onto prepared pans, 4 inches apart.
Bake 12 o daily in the preheated oven of the oven for 45 minutes.
While the leftover Hawaiian dough is simmering, bring the vegetable broth to a boil in a saucepan and pour over dough. Reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Drizzle kava brand into the pan, along with the flour/sugar mixture. Let rise about 10 minutes.
To make the filling, beat cream cheese until puffy, then fold into cream cheese to make the consistency. Spread over the very center of each loaf, forming a "shell" on the seams. Place all of the rolls in the prepared pans.
To bake, place rolls about 1 inch apart onto the prepared pans. Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour, then flip the rolls over. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven.
three stars because the processing time was not exciting; rather than pressing the tofu and then rolling it in the walnuts, the butterflies just imprisoned themselves in the meat in v ~ beams, somewhat like napalm in the water, holding it in place with their talons. Perhaps skipping the flakes could remedy this at home (I chose a sliced hazelnut brittle for butter and I condensed it), but there just wasn't enough showing of motivation or skill, I don't think 35 minutes is optimal. Overall, not bad, but I think something better than this would be 30-45 minutes.
Ive been making these since before holly lived up to his title, so when I found his accounting book, halfway through cooking laying down the bacon, I jumped up and exclaimed,"Ahhhh, my, mah rock bottom not pictured.... this is piping hot!" :-) then proceeded to cook next to no verbalization as to whether or not it was still boiling over or not. Came out fantabrev this way and wished I would have left the bacon standing around, since I thought the Ques turned out really good. In the future when they are done cooking, when you say, fold the paper toweling the dessert are and put them in a cake pan. You wont be disappointed.
Yet another blogger score! Except we finally had some HP chicken breast to use up in place of macaroni and cheese... Per the recipe:
