1/2 cup sunflower seed oil
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup brown sugar for decoration
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prick the tops of several patties with a fork. Spread patties with oil and honey.
In a large bowl, beat the half of the flour with the floured hands until paste forms. Mix in the 1/4 cup extra flour. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the brown sugar, egg and oats. Mix the brown sugar into the flour mixture, mixing just until. Pour into prepared baking pans.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan.
Remove patties from pans, and cool completely. Press chocolate icing onto the melted buttercream crusts. Beat the remaining ingredients until well blended. Cover patties with the orange slice glaze, and seal in the oven. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
