4 pickles
salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion, cut into 1 inch slices
1/2 cup hot water
1 (14.5 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can frozen water
1 (16 ounce) package uncooked Italian-style spaghetti
Pour hot water into a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring, until boiling (about 12 seconds) add garlic and remove from heat. Stir in pickles, salt and pepper.
Soak sliced onion in 1/2 cup of hot water. Drain onion slices and drain onto a plate. This helps bottle moisture.
Stir tomato paste into tomato slices, add soup and water. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
Sprinkle the onions with garlic powder and salt and pepper. Arrange slices of pasta on a plate, bottom side up, and cook on large side until heated through (about 3 to 4 minutes). Cut into wedges and serve.
